When the artificial intelligence that runs the Federal Law Enforcement Agency of Planets begins to send it's greatest and most heavily revered lawmen to a back water planet in the outer reaches of the galaxy, Sgt Alpha Cody, fresh from military service is stationed to what he believes to be a dead-end position only to discover the legendary Star Marshal Colt Laezor, retired enviro-agent Chief 'Iron' Lance and his daredevil son already on duty. 

 

The problem, the list of revered heroes sent have been steadily and systematically murdered one by one by a seemingly unknown group and it looks like Cody is going to be the last for a good long while.

Backed up with an agitated Lagomorph (space-rabbit) suffering a heightened flight instinct, a family of engineers trying to break orbit and escape, a broken sex-droid, some drunk veterans and a turncoat mayor - the Cosmic Cowboys need a plan and a lot of luck to survive what's moving against them as they find themselves at the heart of a galactic-wide conspiracy.
